Situated at the foot hill of the lofty Himalayas in Nainital district of Uttarakhand the Corbett National Park is India’s first and finest National Park. Named after Jim Corbett a renowned environmentalist, author, hunter and conservator. The park inhabits a wide Varity of rare and endangered flora and fauna. Corbett is famous for its population of Tigers, Leopards and Elephants. The chief attractions of Corbett National Park include Corbett Museum, Garjiya Devi Temple, Corbett Jeep Safari and Elephant Safari.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Corbett National Park remains open throughout the year for the visitors from Jhrina zone but the best time to visit Corbett is from 15th November to 15th June because during this period of time all the tourism zones of Corbett are open for visitors and one can visit the entire national park area.

1. CORBETT MUSEUM
Located 3 kms form Kaladhungi the Corbett Museum is a tribute to Jim Corbett the famous hunter, Author and Conservator. Housed in a heritage bungalow of Jim Corbett, the museum brings to the forefront the memory, the life and activities of this eminent personality. At the museum, tourists can view memorabilia connected to Jim Corbett. Collections of the museum include valued personal belongings, letters written by him as well as his friends and well-wishers, antiques and rare photographs.
2. GARJIA TEMPLE
Located in the village of Garjia (Corbett National Park). The Garjia temple is dedicated to Garjia Devi (Goddess Parvati). Built over a small hill and at the point where a huge rock sits in the midst of Kosi River, the temple is situated at a short distance from Ramnagar. Kosi River flowing in front of the temple adds charms to its beautiful location. The temple houses idols of Goddess Parvati, Baba Bhairon, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati. Large number of devotees as well as tourist visits this holy place.
3. CORBETT JEEP SAFARI
Jeep Safari is the best option to explore the wilds of Jim Corbett National Park. In the most secure way. Corbett jeep safari is also the best way to get the inside look of the forest, its topography and to cover maximum area to cover inside the forest in stipulated time frame. There are every likely hood of spotting the wild life in natural environment while taking a Corbett Jeep Safari. There are two safaris that can be taken in a day Morning (6 A.M. to 10 A.M) and Evening (2 P.M. to 6 P.M). Only morning safaris can be booked in advance whereas for afternoon safari bookings are done on first come first serve basis.
4. ELEPHANT SAFARI
Elephant Safari is the second option after Corbett Jeep Safari to view the wildlife from close quarters. To explore the Corbett national park and to have close contact with the Corbett wild life sitting on the back of an elephant is a unique experience and special privilege.
